Translation (English ↔ German)

My hand-made, organic translations will always trump AI-generated texts. That is because unlike a machine translator I only write what I understand, so that the readers can make sense of it too. Therefore I focus on disciplines in which I have some experience:

I am equally confident working on scientific articles, reports, websites, presentations, advertising material, etc. Among my most interesting projects to date are the translations of two books: The Republic of Beliefs: A New Approach to Law and Economics by the former World Bank Chief Economist Prof. Kaushik Basu into German and Der Weg zum Neuen by Dr. Helmuth Blaseio into English. 

Editing, Proof-Reading, Reviewing

My support can help you get your texts published more easily and more quickly. Depending on your needs, I will improve the language, structure, formatting, etc., for example in accordance with a publisher’s requirements. Many clients also appreciate my feedback on the contents of their texts. My editing of your work will improve its chances in peer review. Over the years, I have left a mark on some 100 published texts – and saved the world some tedious reading.

Contract Research and Data Analysis

Whatever your research question, I will find, analyse and present relevant information in a format of your choice. Some of my areas of interest and experience:
